1200 x 630 pixels (1.91:1 ratio). TikTok is mobile-only, so images display within phone-screen constraints in a dark-themed card.

Display behavior

Rounded-corner cards with the image spanning the full width above the title and domain. Images are scaled and center-cropped. Keep important content centered.

Size considerations

No official limits published, but in practice:

• Minimum: very small images (under 200px) may not display
• Maximum file size: under 5MB
• Target under 500KB – all TikTok users are on mobile

Supported formats

JPEG, PNG, and WebP. Animated GIFs show as a static first frame.

Image URL requirements

The og:image URL must be:

• An absolute URL (not relative)
• Accessible without authentication
• Served over HTTPS
• Not behind redirects that require cookies or JavaScript
